Branding Heads

are the most important part of any Branding Iron as they features the image you wish to brand on your creations, products or property (for proof of ownership). It can be heated over an open flame with a Fire-Heated Handle, Propane Heating Tool or with an Electric Heating Tool.

Branding Heads can be made of many metals. The two most widely used types are the Multi-Purpose Brass (woodworking, leather craft, plastic marking, etc.) and the Stainless Steel branding heads for marking food products.

Branding Food Products

Branding heads made of Stainless Steel are designed specifically for food preparation and is the safest food branding method currently on the market. These heads can be used for branding logos on items such as steaks, burger buns, toast, pancakes, etc. as well as products on which food is prepared or served. Interchangeable Characters

Interchangeable Characters from Branding Irons Unlimited offers the ability to regularly change their branded image using the same branding head (see Picture to the Left), the ideal solution for those who need to regularly brand names, codes or serial numbers. We offer many sizes in our basic Standard BIU Font now available online. Of course, since the team at BIU are the Custom Branding Iron experts, you can get them designed any way you wish!

The IPPC Pallet Branding Iron

Branding Irons Unlimited can create a branding head to display your IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) / ISPM 15 export compliance logo on pallets or other shipping crates (See Picture at Left). BIU now offers the Propane Branding Iron along side a custom IPPC branding head, all in a convenient package. The IPPC Pallet Brander brings convenience and quality to the pallet industry.

Easily Connect & Disconnect Branding Heads from Iron

The branding heads made at BIU are interchangeable, so you can use several heads with one heating tool and even upgrade your heating tool from fire-heated to electric at a later date.

BIU's Graphic Design Department is capable of achieving graphic clarity not seen elsewhere in the industry. This makes our fully Custom Branding Heads capable of displaying whatever you can dream up. The BIU Dept. works with you to ensure your satisfaction, reviewing your artwork and preparing a proof that is detailed and clear. We pride ourselves on our ability to achieve great deal on a small space. For Custom Branding Irons that leave beautifully branded marks there really is no competition.

Clear Branded Marks

The branding head face features a custom engraved image that is raised 3/32”. The 3/32” relief ensures an accurate detail transfer of the image and prevents background marks.

High Durability

A branding head with a ½” square face or smaller is 5/8” thick. Head faces with larger dimensions are ¾” thick unless otherwise specified. The thickness of the heads guarantee durability and long life. Overall image dimensions can range from 1/32” to 19” X 29”.

Flat, Concave or Convex

Heads can be produced for marking flat or curved surfaces. When a curved surface needs to be marked, heads can be made concave or convex, CNC produced for a precise radial match.

Brands Many Types of Materials

The brass branding head can be used to mark many different kinds of materials: Wood, plastics, leather, suede, rubber, cork, bamboo & straw, dense foam, soap, wax, plexiglas and heavy card stock just to name a few. Temperature Control Units

A Temperature Control Unit is always recommended for best image transfer as it helps achieve branded marks with the desired degree of darkness.
Using a temperature control unit will also prolong the life of the branding iron heating element.
