Q. What are Branding Irons? Who uses them and Why?
A. The multi-purpose branding irons we produce are made up of a detachable branding head and a heating tool. Some branded marks are done with a handheld iron and, for efficiency, electric tools designed to be mounted in a drill press are used. There’s an array of products made of materials such as wood, plastics, leather, suede, cork, and card stock that are branded for identification and promotional purposes. Woodworkers, leather crafters, beekeepers, tradesmen, artisans and hobbyists alike choose to brand their logo, name and other identification marks on their products, equipment and belongings.

Q. What Materials Can I Brand?
A. With wood being the obvious, there are many more materials that you can brand using our Branding Irons. These include many kinds of leather, suede, rubber, certain plastics (eg: vehicle batteries), thermoplastic elastomer (typically used for yoga mats), cork, cardstock, denim, canvas, burlap, dense foam, food items such as burger buns, coconuts and much more!

Q. Is a Hot Stamp the same as a Branding Iron?
A. Some people use the term “hot stamp” when they are actually looking for a branding iron, but there is a difference. A hot stamp is used in a hot-stamping machine with lower temperatures and typically in combination with hot-stamping foil. In comparison, a branding iron is usually heated up to higher temperatures and is used for an array of applications. Q. Do you make Branders or Burning Stamps?
A. Our website includes a wide range of branding irons and burning stamps. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have and to find out what kind of branding iron would be the most suitable for your specific application. Q. Do You Sell Culinary Branding Irons?
A. We sure do! We make solid stainless steel branding heads, specifically designed for branding various foods, including burger buns, steaks and more!

Q. Can I brand leather and suede without the mark looking burnt?
A. On certain kinds of leather, using reduced heat and a shorter dwell-time can result in no color change and the mark can resemble that of a mark impressed with a metal stamp. For example, a branded mark on textured leather features a smooth image, free of texture, similar to ironing out or “pressing” wrinkled fabric. See Photos of Branded Leather.

Q. Can you design a logo for me?
A. If you give us a rough sketch of your idea, we can take it from there. We have an in-house graphics design team, available to assist with recreating, refining and optimizing logos, designs and more.

Q. I have a logo. What format do you need it in?
A. We prefer vector formats but, if you don’t have your logo in vector format, you can send us whatever you have. Please visit our Submitting Your Image/Art File page for preferred formats.

Q. I have a logo. Can you make me a branding iron and give me an estimate?
A. We certainly can! Please send us your logo, the size you want it to be, and specify the material you will be branding.

Q. Do you ship to Canada? Do you post to the UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa… etc.?
A. Yes, we do ship to all these countries and worldwide via DHL. For more details visit our Shipping and Production Speed Options page. Please note that customs fees may be applied on arrival to your country after the shipment clears international customs. These fees are applied by your countries government, and may be needed to be paid directly to a customs office if DHL is not selected as the shipping carrier. 

Q. Can I use a design from your sample photos for my own Branding Iron?
A. If the design you’re referring to is a universal symbol or one featured in our Clip Art Gallery then yes; however, if the logo or design is an original, created by another customer, then you would need to choose another design.

Q. How long does it take to get a reply after I submit my inquiry?
A. We do our best to respond within 1-2 business days. For immediate assistance feel free to call us at (818) 576-1101 between 8am and 4pm, PST, Monday-Friday (with the exception of U.S. holidays).

Q. I filled out a quote request, but I never heard back from you. What do I do?
A. Please check your spam folder. If our response isn’t there, give us a call at (818) 576-1101 or fill out our contact form, preferably with the same e-mail address you used for your initial inquiry.

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A. Most Custom Orders are ready for shipment in 5 business days from the day we receive the customer’s approval of our proof. Rush and Super-Rush orders are typically shipped out on the scheduled shipping day. For more information, please see our After You Order page.

Q. I need a branding iron as soon as possible. What can you do for me?
A. Please call us at (818) 576-1101 for immediate assistance. When placing a Custom Order, if you have a deadline, make sure to mention the date to your Representative to ensure timely delivery. We accommodate Rush Orders for expedited production (for an additional fee). Orders of Stock Products received during the AM hours, PST, are usually shipped the same day or the following business day. Orders for Stock Products received in the PM hours, PST, usually ship out the following business day or the business day after.

Q. What do you recommend for branding plastic?
A. While some plastics respond well to heat, others are better marked with steel stamps. Contact us for assistance and details using steel stamps for your application.

Q. Do you have a brander for metal?
A. Because a branding iron will not work on metal, consider a metal stamp. Our sister company, Infinity Stamps., offers a wide range of metal stamps. Contact us and a representative will be glad to assist you or visit

Q. I’m not sure if I can brand my paper products. Is it possible?
A. Generally speaking, paper goods such as card stock and cardboard brand quite well. See photos of Branded Paper. Please contact us for design assistance with your requirements.

Q. Can you make me a branding iron for branding my wood and leather products?
A. Yes! Typically branding wood requires more heat than branding leather. This is why we offer electric heating tools and temperature control units.

Q. How much would it cost to have a branding iron made using a design from your Clip Art Gallery?
A. The price will depend on the complexity of the clip art you select, the size you want your branded mark to be, and the type of heating tool required.

Q. Do you have a minimum per order?
A. In most cases we don’t have quantity minimums. Feel free to contact us for more details and to find out about quantity discounts.

Q. I recently purchased a branding iron from your company. Where can I find more information on how to use it and how to clean it?

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, PayPal and Wire Transfers. (Payment by check is available for customers with open accounts, and for Public and Government Institutions).

Q. I've received my quote for a Custom Branding Head and stock products, what happens next?
A. To move forward, click on the "View Estimate Online" button contained in the email that was sent to you with the quote. On the Online Estimate Viewer there will be buttons to either "Accept" or "Decline" the quote. Once the estimate has been marked as accepted, you will receive a complete invoice for payment typically within 1 business day. After the invoice has been paid, we will proceed with creating a proof for your review and required approval if the order was placed through one of our account managers. If you prefer to have us mark the estimate as accepted for you, or if you have any questions please call us at (818) 576-1101 and speak with the representative who quoted you. You can also reply via email to place your order and indicate your desire to accept the quote.

Q. Do you offer wholesale prices?
